Local historian, Ed Zimmer, hosts walking tours in the Spring and Fall. The Fall tour is Sunday, October 13th at 2pm. The Spring 2018 tour was on June 24th and more than 115 people enjoyed a warm and informative afternoon.

New this year was a stop at the gravesite of E. L. “Slonnie” Sloniger and his wife, Katherine. An early-day aviation pioneer from small town Nebraska (Moorefield) Sloniger was nicknamed Old Number 1 as he was the first pilot for an early airline which later became American Airlines.
